23.Art Education Practical - Field trip.

Time:7.30 a.m. to 9.40 p.m.

As the part of B.Ed curriculum practical work EDU 101.3 – Art & Aesthetics education, we students of Natural Science, Physical Science and English optional were allotted to visit the Planetarium, Zoo and Art gallery. We all had our breakfast in the Indian coffee house hotel, all were thrilled to move on to the destination. We started by 7.30 a.m. We enjoyed a lot singing and dancing for the songs played in the bus. 
Firstly we visited the Planetarium, It was filled with information related to Planets, stars, ancient civilizations ,batteries, electricity systems, Robotics and much more .In Sky theatre we could feel the real effect of moving through the galaxy, earth and felt a great experience to see the 3D visuals. After lunch, we visited the Zoo, It consists of a lot of species, It was good to see their habitat, Indigenous species at the zoo included lion tailed macaque, Nilgiri langu, Indian Rhinoceros, Asiatic lion, Royal Bengal Tiger, White Tiger, Hippos, Monkeys, Bear, different species of birds, Crocodile and Cape buffalos, Deer, Sambar deer etc. The zoo also includes a snake farm called 'The Reptile House', which exhibits both poisonous and non-poisonous snakes, Star turtle Eel. It also had Anacondas. Then near to the zoo we visited Art Gallery,It was two storied building consists of a lot of lovely paintings, some of them feel it has life in it. Next to the painting we could see the information related to the pictures. While returning we relaxed at Kovalam beach, the sunset and the cold water, slight waves touching our feet was really good. I very much enjoyed the trip. We came back by almost 9.40 p.m. After the pandemic situation this field trip was really beneficial as well as enjoyable, got lots of happy moments together with friends of other departments too.

  Diagnostic test : A diagnostic assessment is  a form of pre-assessment or a pre-test where teachers can evaluate students' strengths, weaknesses, knowledge and skills before their instruction . As part of second phase of internship in K.N.N.M.V.H.S.S, I conducted diagnostic test in class 8F on 30/6/23, Friday. The test consists of 20 items each carry 1 mark each. It consisted of multiple-choice questions.  After the text I have they had difficulty in few areas so I conducted remedial class based on it, provided videos and explained the difficult area again.   Achievement test :   Achievement tests refer to  assessments which scores are often used to determine the level of instruction for which a student is prepared . High achievement scores generally indicate that a level of mastery of grade-level material has been reached, and that the student is prepared for advanced instruction. * Last day of  internship Date: 31/07/2023 The last day of internship was really an emotional day. Students were so attached, it was difficult to say bye to them, they gave me cards, pretty gifts, paintings and lot of love. I also felt bad to leave them. I thanked my students for the love they showered upon me, thanked my mentor teacher for being so supportive and a great guide, friend and motivator throughout the phase. I thanked Headmaster Sir for giving me an opportunity to do my second phase internship in the school. Shared sweets and asked bye to all. * Class room environment. 27.Physical Education Yoga Practical session.

Program:  Physical Education Yoga Practical session. Date: 06/06/2022 Time: 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. As a part of B.Ed curriculum we had a practical session on 06/06/2022 at top floor. The session started by 10 a.m. by Nibin Sir, our Physical Education master, the class winded up by 1.00 p.m. The session was interactive, Sir explained about the following related to the topic Yoga. 1.Importance of Yoga. 2.Different types of Yoga. 3.Benefits of various asanas in Yoga. 4.Disadvantages of not doing asanas properly. 5.Health issues advantages & disadvantages.  Sir started the class with discussion of the above mentioned points then we were instructed to stretches of  neck, hands and legs ,in the beginning I literally felt little pain but after few stretches I felt happy I was able to do the asanas. We started to do simple asanas and Sir guided us in each stage while doing the asanas, we were provided choice if we are not able to do any difficult asanas we could avoid it...
